PEORIA, Ariz. — The Mariners take the win against the Giants by a score of 8–3 this afternoon at Peoria Stadium. George Kirby made his third start of the spring for Seattle and struck out 5 over 2.1 innings of work.
Mariners opened the scoring with a 1-run homer to deep center field by Jorge Polanco in the bottom of the first inning. Catcher Cal Raleigh followed up by getting into scoring position with his first triple of spring. Raleigh would be brought in with an RBI single from Ty France to take the lead 2–0.
