Joe Wieland becomes Rainiers’ first 12-game winner in 10 years in Tacoma’s 7-3 PCL victory

TACOMA — Joe Wieland became the Rainiers’ first 12-game winner in 10 years as Tacoma posted a 7-3 victory over Las Vegas in Pacific Coast League baseball Sunday.

Wieland (12-5), who cleared waivers and was outrighted by the Mariners to Tacoma (74-54) on Saturday, limited Las Vegas (60-69) to two runs on four hits in six innings with four strikeouts and two walks.
