SS Jean Segura was selected as one of five American League Final Vote candidates for the 32nd and final roster spot on the American League All-Star team as announced this evening during the “All-Star Game Selection Show presented by Camping World” on ESPN. Segura joins OF Andrew Benintendi-BOS, SS Andrelton Simmons-LAA, OF Eddie Rosario-MIN and OF Giancarlo Stanton-NYY on the American League final vote ballot.
Segura is looking to join DH Nelson Cruz, RHP Edwin Díaz and OF Mitch Haniger, who were each selected earlier to represent Seattle on the American League All-Star team.
