Gonzales Family Peanut Butter Drive Raises Over $54,000 For Northwest Harvest

On May 15, Marco and Monica Gonzales kicked off the Gonzales Family Peanut Butter Drive, an online fundraiser to help Northwest Harvest meet the increasing demand for nutritious food.

The goal was to raise $40,000 in just over two weeks, enough to provide 400,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for hungry kids.

Mission accomplished.

The Gonzales Family Peanut Butter Drive raised $54,173, which will help to provide nutritious meals for over half-a-million children in Washington state facing food insecurity.

Marco and Monica spent a mid-May morning making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Northwest Harvest, Washington’s leading hunger relief agency.
