ASTORIA, Ore. (KATU) The Port of Astoria has tried beach balls, electrified mats and a fake orca to try to scare away dozens of sea lions lounging on their docks, to no avail.
Thursday, they installed several "air dancers" in an attempt to scare away the sea lions, and so far it's working.
Onlookers saw the sea lions immediately flee once the air dancers were turned on, but quickly returned when they were turned off.

The sea lions have been causing problems at the port for quite some time.
