After another heartbreaking loss – another big early lead squandered – the M’s will need to make even more roster moves. Abraham Toro’s injury in yesterday’s game will necessitate an IL stint, and Steven Souza’s poor play necessitated a roster move as well. The ideal replacement for the latter would be Kyle Lewis, but the organization is talking about his health the way they did about Jay Buhner’s in 2001: general soreness and years of wear and tear making it all but impossible to say whether he’ll be able to play the field on a given day (a reminder that life is often cruel, and baseball is crueler).
