Frustrated McClendon ejected in eighth

SEATTLE -- Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon was ejected in the eighth inning of Friday night's 11-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox by home-plate umpire Quinn Wolcott.

McClendon was engaging Wolcott in an argument as he walked to the pitcher's mound to replace relief pitcher Rob Rasmussen, and Wolcott ejected him. McClendon made the pitching change, bringing in David Rollins, and then continued his conversation with Wolcott briefly before being escorted off the field.
