You witness his blazing speed and loping strides. When you see him saunter forward and seemingly settle in near the shallow midsection of this outfield, you can envision wide-eyed opponents greedily focusing on large swaths of green at his back and off to either side. And you smile. You, too, are as confident as he is. You understand that the ball hit deep must clear a wall 405 feet away to find success.
