Fresno strikes in the first, then easily beat Rainiers

AJ Reed hit his 20th home run of the season, a two-run shot in the top of the first inning, and the Fresno Grizzlies rolled from there, defeating the host Tacoma Rainiers 7-1 Saturday night at Cheney Stadium.

Reed is tied for second in the Pacific Coast League for home runs.

AquaSox cruise

Everett had 14 hits, paving the way for an 8-2 victory over Salem-Keizer in a Northwest League game.

Orlando Razo (1-2) allowed one run in six innings to get the victory for the AquaSox.

Connor Kopach and Ryan Ramiz each had three hits for Everett.
