The 2020 BBWAA Award Season wrapped up last week. Around here, of course, we were very much aflutter for Kyle Lewis and his unanimous Rookie of the Year victory, so much so that I hardly paid attention to the rest of the awards knowing that no other Mariners players had a realistic shot at any of them. Oh, I guess I’d be remiss not to mention the Gold Glove wins by Evan White and J.P. Crawford, which are separate from the BBWAA awards, but still meaningful. But yes, guilty of one count of homer-ism, this guy (points to self).
