Every team's single-season saves leader

Edwin Diaz's chase for history is in its final weeks. The Mariners have 18 games left in the regular season. Diaz has 54 saves -- eight shy of the Major League single-season record of 62, set by the Angels' Francisco Rodriguez in 2008.

However, even if Diaz doesn't reach K-Rod's mark, he's already had one of the best seasons by a closer in MLB history. His 54 saves are the most for any pitcher in the decade since Rodriguez's record-breaking campaign, and Diaz already has the fifth-highest single-season saves total of all-time, not to mention a Mariners club record.
