The biggest bit of “news” to come down from the press conference was Jerry Dipoto’s revelation that he will not be adding a veteran starter. To be exact, Dipoto said:
Dipoto on why he is not adding another pitcher right now "Because you can only fit so many on a roster.Said he always wants to maintain some kind of young presence in the rotation. "You have to create innings for these guys to show you what they can do."
