DETROIT -- Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano took a fastball off his right hand in the third inning of Sunday's game against the Tigers at Comerica Park and had to come out of the game.
The eight-time All-Star was hit by an 88-mph fastball on a 3-2 pitch from Blaine Hardy, who was making his first Major League start after four years as a reliever for the Tigers.
