On Thursday afternoon at 2:32 pm PT, the Mariners announced a four-player trade in which the club acquired two-time All-Star and 2015 National League batting champion Dee Gordon from Miami.
Shortly after the trade was announced, Gordon joined a conference call with local and national media to discuss two moves: his journey from Miami to Seattle and his transition from 2nd base to center field.
“I’m excited to be a part of the Mariners organization and continue the next chapter of my career. I want to win. I’ve seen the roster; we’ve got a really good team, and I’m excited to be a part of it.
