Classic Mariners Games: The Greatest Comeback Win in Mariners History

The Mariners got off to an inauspicious start on June 2, 2016 at San Diego, trailing the Padres, 12–2, after five innings. But the Mariners stormed back, scoring five runs in the 6th inning and nine runs in the 7th inning in staging the largest comeback win in club history.

Dae-Ho Lee played a key role in the Mariners come-from-behind win, going 3-for-3 with a home run and 4 RBI off the bench. Lee’s pinch-hit, three-run home run in the 6th inning cut the Padres lead to 12–7.

After loading the bases in the top of the 7th, the Mariners reeled off seven consecutive 2-out RBI singles to plate nine runs and take a 16–12 lead over San Diego.
