James Paxton, a native of Ladner, British Columbia, no-hit the Toronto Blue Jays on May 8, 2018 at Rogers Centre. He joined Dick Fowler as the only Canadian-born pitchers in Major League history to toss a no-no.

Paxton allowed 3 walks while striking out 7 in tossing the Mariners first no-hitter on the road. Paxton needed only 99 pitches to keep the Blue Jays out of the hit column, becoming the 12th pitcher since 1988 to throw fewer than 100 pitches in a no-hitter.
