Chris Taylor gets 5 hits, but Rainiers fall at Salt Lake

Tacoma’s Chris Taylor went 5 for 5 but the Rainiers fell at Salt Lake, 7-3, Wednesday night in Pacific Coast League action.

Taylor drove in a pair of runs, extended his on-base streak to 15 games, and raised his batting average to .313. It was the first five-hit game of Taylor’s career.

Already holding a 1-0 lead, Salt Lake struck for a three runs in the fourth inning. Cal Towey scored on an RBI single from Anthony Bemboom. Daniel Nava capped off the scoring with a two-run double to right field, giving the Bees a 4-0 lead.
