Manny Acta is entering his 5th season with the Mariners in 2020, including his 3rd season as the third base coach. He began his time in Seattle as the Mariners third base coach from 2016–17 before moving to the role of bench coach for the 2018–19 seasons.
The 2020 campaign marks Acta’s 16th season as a big league coach or manager. Prior to joining the Mariners, Acta was the manager of the Cleveland Indians from 2010–12 and the manager of the Washington Nationals from 2007–09. The native of San Pedro de Macorís, was the Montreal Expos third base coach for three seasons (2002–04) and filled the same role for the New York Mets for two seasons (2005–06).
