FRESNO, Calif. — Boog Powell’s sacrifice fly in the 10th inning lifted the Tacoma Rainiers to a 7-6 victory over the Fresno Grizzlies in a Pacific Coast League game Tuesday night.
The Rainiers led 4-1 entering the bottom of the seventh, but Fresno scored four times in that frame to knock out Tacoma starter Cody Martin and take the lead.
Tacoma regained the lead at 6-5 in the eighth inning on a wild pitch and a fielder’s choice.
Fresno sent the game into extra innings with a run in the bottom of the ninth.
Outfielder Dario Pizzano was 3 for 3 to lead the Rainiers’ 14-hit attack.
