WASHINGTON (SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP) — An Indiana animal shelter is encouraging Pokemon Go players to bring an adoptable dog with them on their search for Pokemon.

"Come out to the Muncie Animal Shelter between 10am-5:30pm any day and walk an adoptable dog as you hunt for Pokemon and hatch eggs!" reads a Facebook post on the shelter's page.

The "Pokemon dogs" were an idea hatched by Shelter Director Phil Peckinpaugh, who told ABC News that his daughter and nephew got him playing the popular game.

After seeing "droves" of people walking around and playing Pokemon Go, Peckinpaugh thought about adding the shelter dogs to the equation, according to ABC.
