SALT LAKE CITY — Adrian Sampson threw six scoreless innings, leading the Tacoma Rainiers to a 3-1 victory over the Salt Lake Bees in a Pacific Coast League game Friday night.
The Rainiers scored all of their runs in the fourth inning. Chris Taylor hit a two-out, two run triple to open the scoring and Stefen Romero followed with a double to bring home Taylor.
Sampson improved to 7-4, allowing five hits and two walks and striking out three.
Blake Parker pitched a perfect ninth inning, striking out the side, to record his 11th save for the Rainiers.
