4 highlights to get the Mariners (or a trade partner) hyped for Tyler Locklear

Tyler Locklear has been a top prospect in the Seattle Mariners system ever since he was selected in the second round of the 2022 draft out of Virginia Commonwealth University. Despite poor results while getting a cup of coffee with the big league club last year, there are reasons to believe 2025 could be the year we finally see him at his full potential.

The Mariners had been in search of a full-time first baseman pretty much all year. Rowdy Tellez, Donovan Solano, and Luke Raley bear the responsibility for Seattle getting just a .708 OPS out of the position, 18th in MLB.
