ANACONDA, Mont. – Sophomore Chloe Wong had the best 54-hole score and the first top-5 finish of her career leading Santa Clara women's golf to fourth-place showing at the Battle at Old Works, completed today on the 6,456-yard, par-72 Old Works Golf Club.
The Broncos scored a final round 298 to complete the two-day event with a team total of 889 (+25), 11 shots behind winner North Dakota State.
"We didn't play our best today, but they fought through it," head coach Krystal Kelly said of her squad. "Last year this would have been a great round for us, but we left some shots out there today.
