CLAREMONT, Calif. - Madelyn Koerper led La Salle to a 12-9 victory over Santa Clara in their opening game of the Claremont Convergence Tournament on Friday. The Broncos went on to defeat Augustana, 16-8, later that evening.

The Explorers (4-7) extended their early lead over the Broncos (2-9) with a strong third quarter including four goals and solid defense, holding the Broncos to just one goal.
Lauren Baglietto led Bronco's offense with four goals, and five other players scored once for the Broncos.
