SAN FRANCISCO – On the final day of the regular season, Santa Clara women's soccer beat San Francisco 2-1 in overtime on Saturday night. The win puts the Broncos in third place in the final West Coast Conference standings, just three points behind co-champions Pepperdine and BYU.
Santa Clara (9-6-4, 6-2-1) fell behind midway through the first half and couldn't break through until late in the second. Senior Jordan Jesolva scored both goals for the Broncos to bring her team-lead to eight.
The winner came in the 96th minute on an assist from Maddie Gonzalez.
