Women's Soccer Tops Cal State Fullerton

Highlights

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer rebounded with a 1-0 win over Cal State Fullerton Sunday afternoon at home.

The Broncos (2-0-2) were on the front foot almost the entire game and after a performance against Seattle that saw them lacking in most areas, they were back in form everywhere except for their finishing.

Despite just the one goal, Santa Clara created tons of dangerous chances throughout the 90 minutes. The Broncos outshot the Titans (0-3) 22-5 on the day while holding a 13-0 edge in shots on target.

Despite seven shots and four on goal each from Kelsey Turnbow and Kaile Halvorsen, it was Marisa Bubnis who broke through with her first career goal in the 48th for the match's lone tally.
