ROSEVILLE, Calif. – The Santa Clara women's golf team couldn't take advantage of favorable conditions in today's final round, dropping a spot on the leaderboard to finish third at the Sacramento State Invitational, which was completed today at the 6,008-yard, par-72 Sierra View Country Club in Roseville.
The Broncos' 307 team score on Tuesday gave them a 908 total and was enough to fend off tournament host Sacramento State, but they lost out on a runner-up position by a single shot to Nevada. San Francisco led from start to finish to claim the team title with an 889 total.
