SAN FRANCISCO - In the first West Coast Conference road game of the season for Santa Clara women's basketball, the Broncos fell in overtime at San Francisco 77-68 at USF's Sobrato Center on Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped Santa Clara's three-game winning streak against San Francisco.
In a back and forth game, Santa Clara (6-7, 1-1 WCC) led by 16 early in the second quarter and was on top of San Francisco (8-5, 2-0 WCC) for just over 20 minutes of the game. The Dons gained the lead and were up 60-51 with 3:02 left in the fourth quarter when SCU went on a 13-4 run to end regulation tied at 64.
