West Coast Conference Action Opens for Women's Basketball Thursday Against BYU

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – With nonconference play in the rearview mirror, Santa Clara women's basketball opens its West Coast Conference slate against reigning regular season champion BYU on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Leavey.

At the Play 4 Kay Shootout in Las Vegas from Dec. 19-21, the Broncos dropped games to Oklahoma State and No. 21 South Florida before ending with a convincing 60-46 win over New Mexico State.

Santa Clara is 1-13 all-time vs BYU with the first meeting coming in 1998. The Broncos are 1-6 against the Cougars in Leavey.
