SANTA CLARA, Calif. – For the fourth time this season, Santa Clara baseball celebrated a walk off win, topping San Francisco 3-2 in 11 innings on Sunday to guarantee a series victory and set up a potential sweep.
Robert Hipwell played the role of Broncos' (26-15, 12-8 WCC) hero with a game-winning home run in the bottom of the 11th to send the team to its eighth straight win.
Hipwell had a big day at the plate, finishing with three hits and a walk. Michael O'Hara also collected three hits, including a triple, and scored a run with JonJon Berring rounding out a trio of players with three hits.
