BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Santa Clara volleyball is off to a 4-0 start through the first two match days of the 2019 season. The Broncos defeated Marshall 25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 25-15 and swept Indiana 25-22, 26-24, 25-22 on Saturday at Wilkinson Hall to win the Indiana Invitational.
Allison Kantor was named tournament MVP and Julia Sangiacomo earned a spot on the all-tournament team for the Broncos (4-0). Kantor totaled 43 kills, including 16 against the Hoosiers (3-1) in the tournament-clinching tilt, and hit .440 or better in three of four contests. Sangiacomo posted double-digit kills in each of her first four matches as a Bronco and totaled 54.
