SAN MATEO, Calif. – Santa Clara men's soccer player Dominic Vegaalban has been named West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.
In only 45 minutes of action, the freshman forward tallied two goals in the 3-all draw against Cal on Saturday night in a nonconference match.
Vegaalban opened the scoring for the Broncos, finding the back of the net just seven minutes into the match on an assist from Jack Murphy.
At the 14th minute, Vegaalban scored again off a rebound of Joshua Dabora's shot to give Santa Clara a 2-0 lead.
