NORMAN, Okla. – Jack Avrit and Matt McCarty of Santa Clara men's golf were recognized for their performance in the classroom.
Avrit and McCarty were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To be eligible, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically with a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I and a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.20. The participation requirement for 2019-20 was reduced to 40 percent of the team's tournaments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
