SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the second time this season, Santa Clara softball player Ashley Trierweiler was named West Coast Conference Softball Player of the Week, and the fifth time a Bronco has been recognized with a conference weekly honor.
Hitting from her customary leadoff position, Trierweiler safely reached base a total of 14 times on nine hits, three walks and two hit by pitches, to help lead the Broncos win three of the four games last week, including a weekend sweep of Pacific. She extended her on-base streak to 36 games.
