ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – On day two of the Lobo Classic, Santa Clara softball earned a split. The Broncos beat Stony Brook 6-4 but fell to New Mexico 7-3.
Game 1
After both teams put up two runs in the first, Santa Clara (5-12) scored once in the second and three times in the third for all the offense the Broncos would need.
Amanda Delfino was hit by a pitch to start the bottom of the third and Geenamarie Bonilla roped a double to left center to bring in a run. After a single by Kelsie Barnard, an error brought Bonilla around to score.
