DAVIS, Calif. - Santa Clara softball took a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth behind freshman Hazyl Gray's pitching and Emma Bickford's home run but lost 3-1 on a late rally by UC Davis.
Gray held the Aggies scoreless through five innings allowing just three hits but in the sixth, UC Davis (5-1) put up three runs on two hits, a walk and was aided by a costly Bronco error.
Sommer Kisling opened the sixth with a walk and scored on back to back singles by Sarah Starks and Libbie McMahon to tie the game up at 1-all.
