SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The No. 5 Santa Clara women's soccer seniors made their presence felt on Senior Day in the Broncos 7-0 win over Pacific Saturday afternoon to close out the regular season.
Santa Clara (16-3-1, 7-2 WCC) absolutely dominated the Tigers (2-16, 0-9 WCC), attempting 33 shots and putting 19 on goal while drawing 10 corner kicks to none allowed.
For the second time this year, senior Maria Sanchez tied a program record with four assists. She also accomplished the feat on Aug. 20 against Cal. The only other Bronco with four assists in a game was Mandy Clemens against Portland in 1999.
