Special Olympics Northern California is excited to host the Summer Games for the first time in-person since 2019! Summer Games is our largest local competition and features hundreds of athletes and coaches from 25 counties coming together to participate in competitions, activities, social events and more.
Summer Games is a high-visibility, multi-day event which showcases the talent, determination and joy of our Special Olympics community. Along with intense competition, athletes have the opportunity to meet new friends, receive free health screenings and experience independence – often for the first time – all while being supported by family, friends and fans.
