PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Santa Clara men's golf turned in an outstanding opening round in the day one of the Saint Mary's Invitational, carding a 3-under 281 on Monday to finish the day in third place. The Broncos are just six strokes behind the leader, San Diego (275).
Nolan Forsman led the way for the Broncos with a 2-under 69 that including three-straight birdies on Nos. 3-5 and five birdie putts in total. The senior is currently tied for eighth. Just behind Forsman is teammate Eugenio Bernardi, who carded a 1-under 70 with five birdies.
