SAN JOSE, Calif. — Santa Clara University athletics Hall of Fame inductee and Broncos football great Doug Cosbie will be inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame Wednesday as part of its 2022 Class ceremony at the SAP Center.
Cosbie transferred to the Mission Campus in 1975 from De Anza College and quickly became then-head coach Pat Malley's starting tight end. He made 26 receptions for five touchdowns in his first season as a Bronco. Cosbie finished his Santa Clara career with 120 total receptions for 1,721 yards and ten touchdowns.
After graduating from Santa Clara University in 1979, Cosbie was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round.
