Portland Rallies Past Volleyball

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – A career night from Mia Wesley and just enough defense helped Portland rally from two sets down to post a 23-25, 26-28, 25-16, 25-22, 16-14 victory over Santa Clara volleyball on Monday.

Wesley had a career-high 30 kills, tied for most in a West Coast Conference match this season, and 15 digs, Liz Reich posted 11 kills and Carey Williams had 28 digs for the Pilots (2-9, 2-9) who had a .222 attack percentage.

Julia Sangiacomo had a double-double with a career-high 27 kills and 17 digs, Sophia Tulino registered a career-best 20 kills and Michelle Shaffer nearly had a triple-double with 32 assists, 17 digs and nine kills, but it was not enough for the Broncos (1-4, 1-4).
