SAN FRANCISCO - Santa Clara men's golf turned in yet another solid team round on Saturday in the final round of the Goodwin, finishing with an even-par 280 to climb two more spots for an eighth-place finish at 7-over 847 where they tied with No. 28 Oregon.
Julian Paltrinieri was the Broncos' top individual once again after carding a 1-under 69 for the second-straight day. He finished with just one bogey on his card and climbed 14 spots to finish in a tie for 11th, his team-best sixth top-20 finish this season, at 1-under 71-69-69--209.
Viraj Garewal climbed 14 spots of his own to sneak his way into the top 25 with an even-par 70 on the day that put him in a tie for 24th at 1-over 73-68-70--211.
