TUCSON, Ariz. - Santa Clara men's golf carded solid rounds to complete day one at the Arizona Thunderbirds Invitational, turning in a 3-under 285 after Round 1. The Broncos were scheduled to play 36 holes but still have eight holes to finish Tuesday morning as play was suspended due to darkness.
Italian transfer Julien Paltrinieri led the team carding an outstanding first round of a 4-under 68 which included five birdies and an impressive eagle after putting his drive on the par-4 15th to six feet and making the putt.
