Men's Tennis Powers Past Saint Mary's 4-1

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Needing a response after a loss in the conference opener, Santa Clara men's tennis responded with a 4-1 victory against its local rivals from Saint Mary's College on Saturday afternoon at the Degheri Tennis Center.

The Broncos dropped just two games in doubles before finishing off the Gaels (5-10) with three dominating straight set singles decisions. Santa Clara (7-8) improves to 1-1 in West Coast Conference play with the victory.

"I think it's really big for our confidence because this is the most important time of the year going into conference," said freshman Kamran Khan.
