Men’s Soccer Edged, 1-0, by Utah Valley on Thursday

LAS VEGAS - Santa Clara men's soccer were inches away from drawing level in the waning seconds but Javier Ruiz Duran's shot sailed just over the crossbar with the Utah Valley goalkeeper out of position, to lose 1-0, in the desert evening at Peter Johann Memorial Field.

As the game clock reached near the full 90-minute mark, Santa Clara (2-3-1) quickly played the ball in from the left side to an open Alan Camacho Soto. The Bronco forward delivered a cross inside the box catching the Wolverine goalkeeper Joseph Wheelwright scrambling to cover the open net but Ruiz Duran's shot fluttered above the goal.
