NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Santa Clara men's golf scored a season-low 284 in Monday's second round to move up a spot into sixth place on the team leaderboard with a 575 total after two days at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic. The event concludes Tuesday on the 6,713-yard, par-70 Warren Golf Course.
"They played a good round today," head coach Rob Miller said of his squad. "It's nice to be in contention for a good finish and a top spot."
The Broncos tied for the third-lowest round of the day among the 15 competing teams and are 15 strokes behind leader Texas-El Paso, which is at even-par 560 for the tournament.
