Men's Basketball Opens Final Homestand Thursday, Faces Longtime Rival Saint Mary's

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Fresh off a road split last week, Santa Clara men's basketball opens a three-game homestand on Thursday with a matchup against Saint Mary's.

Tipoff between the Broncos and Gaels is set for 8 p.m. in Leavey Center.

The Broncos (13-12, 5-6) got a career-high 26 points, including 16 in the second half, from Josip Vrankic and a career-best 18 points Guglielmo Caruso to outlast Pepperdine, 79-71, on Thursday.

Two days later Jimbo Lull scored 16 and Charles Minlend tallied 14 points, including 11 in the second half, to lead a balanced attack for San Francisco, which was able to hold off Santa Clara, 78-72.
