SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara men's basketball secured its biggest victory of the Herb Sendek era Thursday by knocking off the BYU Cougars for the first time as members of the West Coast Conference behind a strong 3-point shooting performance and a gritty defensive effort.
Jared Brownridge scored a game-high 25 points, including 14 in the second half, while Nate Kratch and KJ Feagin tallied 16 each for the Broncos (12-10, 6-3) who claimed a 76-68 win by connecting on a season-high tying 14 3-pointers and holding the Cougars to just three.
