Freshman guard Trey Wertz posted a career-high 33 points for the Broncos (2-5) who shot a season-best 49 percent from the floor and went 25 of 32 from the free-throw line to Thursday's victory.
Two days after securing its first win of the season, the Broncos were unable to make it two in a row on Monday.
