SANTA CLARA, Calif. - After a season-opening victory against Idaho State, Santa Clara men's basketball faces UC Davis on Friday in the Bronco Invitational, a four-team, round-robin tournament.
Josip Vrankic had 24 points, six rebounds and four assists, and Jalen Williams scored 13, tallied four steals and blocked two shots in leading the Broncos (1-0) to a 62-49 win over the Bengals on Wednesday.
The Aggies (0-1) were edged by Nicholls, 101-93, though Ezra Manjon (25) and Damion Squire (21) combined for 46 points for a UC Davis squad that shot 59 percent from the floor, but turned the ball over 20 times.
